BIS QCO for the Textiles—High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Polypropylene (PP) Woven Sacks for Packaging of 25 kg Polymer Materials

OVERVIEW

The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers has issued a Quality Control Order titled "Textiles—High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Polypropylene (PP) Woven Sacks for Packaging of 25 kg Polymer Materials (Quality Control) Order, 2023."

This order will take effect 180 days from its publication in the Official Gazette.

The order applies to goods or articles, specifically Textiles—High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Polypropylene (PP) Woven Sacks for Packaging of 25 kg Polymer Materials, as detailed in the attached Schedule. It does not apply to goods or articles intended for export.

Goods falling under Textiles—High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Polypropylene (PP) Woven Sacks for Packaging of 25 kg Polymer Materials in the Schedule must conform to the corresponding Indian Standard IS 16703:2017 (Textiles—High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Polypropylene (PP) Woven Sacks for Packaging of 25 kg Polymer Materials - Specification) outlined in the Schedule. They must bear the Standard Mark, obtained through a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards under Scheme-I of Schedule-II to the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.

The Bureau of Indian Standards is designated as the certifying and enforcing authority for goods or articles falling under Textiles—High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Polypropylene (PP) Woven Sacks for Packaging of 25 kg Polymer Materials in the Schedule.
