BIS QCO for the Textiles—Polypropylene (PP) Woven, Laminated, Block Bottom Valve Sacks for Packaging of 50 kg Cement

OVERVIEW

The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers has introduced a Quality Control Order titled "Textiles—Polypropylene (PP) Woven, Laminated, Block Bottom Valve Sacks for Packaging of 50 kg Cement (Quality Control) Order, 2023."

This order will take effect 180 days from its publication in the Official Gazette.

The order applies to goods or articles, specifically Textiles—Polypropylene (PP) Woven, Laminated, Block Bottom Valve Sacks for Packaging of 50 kg Cement, as detailed in the attached Schedule. However, it does not extend to goods or articles intended for export.

Goods or articles falling under Textiles—Polypropylene (PP) Woven, Laminated, Block Bottom Valve Sacks for Packaging of 50 kg Cement in the Schedule must adhere to the corresponding Indian Standard IS 16709:2017 (Textiles—Polypropylene (PP) Woven, Laminated, Block Bottom Valve Sacks for Packaging of 50 kg Cement- Specification) outlined in the Schedule. They must bear the Standard Mark, obtained through a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards under Scheme-I of Schedule-II to the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.

The certifying and enforcing authority for goods or articles falling under Textiles—Polypropylene (PP) Woven, Laminated, Block Bottom Valve Sacks for Packaging of 50 kg Cement in the Schedule is the Bureau of Indian Standards.
