BIS QCO for the Telescopic Ball Bearing Drawer Slide

OVERVIEW

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has issued a Quality Control Order known as the "Telescopic Ball Bearing Drawer Slide (Quality Control) Order, 2023." Effective twelve months after its publication in the Official Gazette, this order pertains to goods or articles specifically relating to Telescopic Ball Bearing drawer slides.

According to this order, Telescopic Ball Bearing drawer slides must comply with the corresponding Indian Standard 17954:2023 and bear the Standard Mark issued by the Bureau of Indian Standards under Scheme-1 of Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.

Exceptions to this order include goods or articles manufactured domestically for export, as well as micro and small enterprises, as defined under the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006 (27 of 2006), until eighteen and fifteen months, respectively, from the date of publication of this notification.

The Bureau of Indian Standards is designated as the certifying and enforcing authority for Telescopic Ball Bearing drawer slides.

Non-compliance with this order is punishable under the provisions of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.
