BIS QCO for the Textiles—High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) /Polypropylene (PP) Woven Sacks for Packaging Fertilizers

OVERVIEW

The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers has issued a Quality Control Order titled "Textiles—High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) /Polypropylene (PP) Woven Sacks for Packaging Fertilizers (Quality Control) Order, 2023."

This order will take effect 180 days from its publication in the Official Gazette.

This order applies to goods or articles, specifically Textiles—High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) /Polypropylene (PP) Woven Sacks for Packaging Fertilizers, as outlined in the attached Schedule. However, it does not apply to goods or articles intended for export.

Goods or articles falling under the specified Textiles—High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) /Polypropylene (PP) Woven Sacks for Packaging Fertilizers in the Schedule must adhere to the relevant Indian Standard IS 9755:2021 (Textiles—High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) / Polypropylene (PP) Woven Sacks for Packaging Fertilizers – Specification) as per the Schedule. They must display the Standard Mark, obtained through a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards by Scheme-I of Schedule-II to the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.

The certifying and enforcing authority for goods or articles falling under Textiles—High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) /Polypropylene (PP) Woven Sacks for Packaging Fertilizers in the Schedule is the Bureau of Indian Standards.
